 Description 
Summer savory is an annual spice and medicinal plant that originally comes from western and central Asia and has been used as a spice since ancient times. The evergreen plants grow bushy and quickly become woody. The robust and heat-loving herb forms small, oval, tapered, dark green and occasionally slightly violet-colored leaves that smell pleasant. The spicy taste goes particularly well with beans. As a medicinal herb, it is traditionally used to support digestion, reduce fever and relieve bee stings. Suitable for pot cultivation.

 General recommendations 
Direct sowing in rows is recommended. After germination, thin out the plants to the specified plant spacing.
Summer savory prefers a permeable, nutrient-rich, dry to moist and humus-rich loamy soil. Doesn't tolerate waterlogging.

 Additional tips 
The best time to harvest savory is just before flowering. To harvest, cut the plants 10 cm above the ground. Can survive temporary drought. To quickly obtain a fine, crumbly and permeable soil with good nutrient and water retention capacity, it is recommended to add biochar and rock flour.
