Additional tips
In unfavorable locations with many snails, pre-breeding is always recommended. Snails love small fennel sprouts! To obtain compact, high-quality tubers, accumulations, uniform watering and temperatures are important. Many nutrients and minerals in the soil make the tubers more tender. Growing in the greenhouse is recommended only over the winter with sufficient ventilation. Small seedlings can withstand temperatures of up to-4 ° C for a short time, large plants with tuber development would start to rot at these temperatures. In order to quickly obtain a fine, crumbly and well-drained soil, an additional incorporation of biochar and primeval rock flour is recommended.
