Seeds

The pumpkin 'Violina' is an annual, very old and historic pumpkin variety originating in southern Italy. The robust plants form large 2-4 kg, slightly ribbed and yellow-orange fruits that are reminiscent of a violin or peanut in shape. The excellent taste of the fruit is mild and nutty, with an orange firm flesh. The versatile fruits of the butternut squash can be prepared raw or cooked in cream soup with their skin or baked in the oven. One plant forms 3-5 pumpkins. The fruits have a very long shelf life at cool temperatures.
