The Chinese cabbage 'pomegranate' is an ancient, annual and medium early type of cabbage from China. This variety originated during the Second World War and has long, slender and closed heads. The strong and aromatic taste is with the firm leaf texture, especially suitable for steaming and wok. Chinese cabbage is hardy in mild climates, but in cooler areas the variety needs light winter protection. Not suitable for storage.

We always recommend pre-culture for Chinese cabbage, for this purpose let the seedlings grow in a small bowl up to the first visible cabbage leaves, then piqued into the desired container. The planting of the seedlings in the bed is carried out from the 2nd Pair of leaves after the cotyledders.
