The parsley root 'Osborne' is an old two-year-old root vegetable from Germany. The species originally comes from the eastern Mediterranean and North Africa. The hardy variety forms 22-25 cm long and cone-shaped creamy-white roots, with juicy green leaves. The flavor is intense-spicy and slightly sweet, with a mild parsley aroma. Drought tolerant. Roots struck in sand can be stored for up to 6 months.

General
We always recommend no-till. Germination is slow and irregular. Root parsley Prefers a partially shaded location with a nutrient-rich, humus-rich and light clay soil. Prepare the soil with deposited animal manure. Avoid waterlogging.

Additional tips
Needs at least 7 °C for germination. Sow down and thin out later and use it as baby leaf roots. To maintain the nematode balance in the soil, a culture break of 3 years is required. In order to quickly obtain a fine, crumbly and well-drained soil, an additional incorporation of biochar and primeval rock flour is recommended.

Care Plants
The bed in the root parsley grows should never completely dry out, even if this variety is drought-tolerant. Regular water giving causes stable growth. Due to the initially slow growth of the plants, we recommend weeding the surrounding herbs regularly. M It animal manure prepared beds and planting in mixed culture, replaces additional fertilization.
